Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Destiny developed a strong work ethic and sense of purpose from an early age. The daughter of a retired Navy veteran and an educator, she credits her parents for instilling the values of discipline, service, integrity, and lifelong learning that continue to guide her leadership today.

Following in her father's footsteps, Destiny proudly served in the United States Navy before pursuing higher education and building a successful corporate career. During that time, she married Commander Marcus Sinclair, a distinguished naval officer. Together they welcomed two children, Fallàn and Saníyah.

Tragedy struck when Commander Sinclair was killed in military service. Faced with raising two children while navigating personal loss, Destiny relied on the strength, resilience, and determination that had defined her throughout her life. Those experiences would later shape both her leadership style and the foundation of the company she would eventually build.

As Destiny Devereaux Legacy Cruise Line grew, Destiny became fascinated by the extraordinary stories unfolding aboard her ships. Each novel is a dramatized retelling inspired by real events that occurred within the At Sea universe. Participants whose experiences contributed to the stories voluntarily shared their accounts and granted permission for their stories to be adapted for publication.

The series quickly became a cultural phenomenon among passengers and readers alike, with book launches, premiere events, and public appearances featuring the individuals whose stories inspired the novels. Through her writing, Destiny preserves the history, humanity, and unforgettable moments that have become part of the Legacy Cruise Line story while giving readers an exclusive glimpse into the lives, relationships, and events that unfold beyond the public eye.

Today, Destiny remains deeply connected to her family. She shares a close relationship with her parents and takes great pride in the accomplishments of her children, who now contribute to the organization in their own unique ways. Fallàn serves as Director of Strategic Development, while Saníyah serves as Brand Ambassador and Digital Marketing Coordinator.

Outside of business, Destiny enjoys travel, philanthropy, mentorship, and creating opportunities for others to build meaningful connections through shared experiences. She is also in a long-term relationship with entrepreneur and business executive Malcolm Sterling, whose own successful career allows them to support one another while pursuing their respective ambitions.
